About MAUR film:
MAUR film is one of the leading Czech production companies focused on author-driven animated films. Since its founding in 2003, it has been involved in numerous award-winning projects that regularly appear at prestigious film festivals around the world. The company collaborates with both Czech and international directors, with an emphasis on artistic originality, quality, and strong storytelling.

About the collaboration:
I’ve been working with MAUR film on a long-term and regular basis. My role is to create visual materials that support the presentation and promotion of their films – including visually unified presskits, festival presentations, media kits, and documents for grant applications. These materials often showcase projects both in development and post-production and are intended for both professional and general audiences.

In addition to presentations, I also design other promotional materials such as:
🔹 Posters
🔹 Stickers, postcards, roll-up banners
🔹 Online banners and social media graphics

Process:
I usually create the presentations in Adobe InDesign and export them as print-ready or digital PDFs. If needed, I also prepare them in PowerPoint or Google Slides, depending on client preference or presentation format.

When designing, I focus on staying true to the visual style of each film to help highlight its uniqueness and originality. I work with provided artwork, scenes, and visual elements, combining them into clean, elegant layouts suitable for festivals, media, and grant applications.

Working with MAUR film is always both a challenge and a joy – combining illustration, film, and graphic design gives me the opportunity to express my visual storytelling skills while contributing to the promotion of remarkable animated films. I also truly value the chance to be a small part of the Czech animation industry, which I’ve long felt personally connected to.
